The Rose Inc community asked and we heard: What are the best nail products and colors? Our editors rounded up the top care essentials from nail artists like Queenie Nguyen and Betina Goldstein, plus Rose Inc founder Rosie Huntington-Whiteley shares her favorite nail polish colors in today’s edition of The Roundup.
Gentle Hand Care Essentials
The Expert: Betina Goldstein
The Picks: Harsh products can dry out the nails, so Goldstein swears by oil-based polish remover and uses gentle scrubs to keep dry skin at bay. “I start by exfoliating my hands,” the artist says, noting that she loves Nécessaire The Body Exfoliator and Oribe Côte d'Azur Refining Hand Scrub, although leftover face or body scrub works just as well. “Simply massage the product into your nails and dry spots.”

The Perfect Base
The Expert: Queenie Nguyen
The Picks: To increase strength, whether going bare or looking to speed growth for your next manicure, Nguyen recommends Orly BB Créme, OPI Nail Envy, or Nailtiques Formula 2 Nail Protein. “I’ve been wearing strengthener on my nails for the past 13 years,” she says. “Apply two coats by itself or under nail polish.”

Elevated Nail Art
The Expert: Harriet Westmoreland
The Picks: “You need a base that is complementary to your skin-tone and a really tiny paintbrush,” Westmoreland says about the tricky-to-find items in her latest Rose Inc tutorial. Try Dior Diorlisse Abricot polish, which comes in three sheer shades and a striping brush, then add good white polish and top coat to your list.

The Expert: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
The Picks: “I rarely go for a strong nail look,” RHW says. “I prefer to stick to neutrals so my nails look healthy and remain versatile with what I'm wearing. For gel polish, I often select Dané or Sweet Candy Breath by Bio Sculpture. For polish, I like Tickle my France-y and Dulce Leche by OPI. If I do pick a colour, I usually sway more towards a classic Bordeaux red such as Chanel Rouge Noir 18.”
